The Day for Love and All That Good Stuff

Tomorrow is February 14th...You know what that means! If you're like me then you're probably thinking okay, so what? It's just another day. Love should be celebrated EVERYDAY. It's kind of ridiculous how people get around this time of the year, so I took the time to come up with some last-minute V-Day do's and don't's:
Do's
*
Ladies switch things up and treat your man. If he's going the extra mile to show he cares then you could at least get in the kitchen and cook him something nice. Can't cook? Then I suggest you head straight to Victoria's Secret (or maybe Spencer's; Ricky's if you live in NYC)...or you could keep it simple and just buy him something he needs.
* Guys there are a lot of girls that love flowers but just remember...Flowers eventually die; Diamonds last forever. If you and your girl have been together for a while then go ahead and throw some diamonds on her wrist or around her neck.
* Dinner and a movie is a good idea, but you can do that anytime with anyone. Let's not front, times are hard, so save money and rent a movie. Cook dinner together or order takeout and feed each other while cuddled up on the couch. Now isn't that cute???
* If you're not in a relationship then plan something special with a friend or a relative. V-day is not just for lovers so there's no reason to feel lonely. It's about showing appreciation for another person. If you're feeling brave, ask out that person you've had your eyes on. You never know, they may be interested.
Don't's
* Don't purposely get into a relationship just to get gifts or sex on V-Day; and vice versa...don't be a jerk and break up with someone just to get out of spending money or taking the time and effort to do something nice for them.
* Don't get too crazy or go all out for someone you just started dating. If it's too early and you break up with that person a week or two later you're going to seriously regret it.
* Don't make it a competition or an opportunity to show off. It's always the thought that counts and if there's no real thought and love in your displays of affection then it's pointless.
* DON'T FORGET TO PRACTICE SAFE SEX!

P.S. for the sneakerheads out there, there's always these...
