Yooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't even know what to say about this whole Chris Brown/ Rihanna scandal. He was arrested for assault and due to a "car accident" which happened within the same time frame, she has bruises on her face. Hmmmmm....I'm not even going to say it because everyone is innocent until proven guilty, HOWEVER I will say this: my prayers go to both of them because they're two of my favorite artists. Relationships (or friendships, whatever they want to call it) get ugly sometimes and I hope this unfortunate situation doesn't affect their careers.
Now I wasn't even planning on watching The Grammy Awards. I never do because I really don't care for every music genre and let's face it...some performances are really not worth watching, but one performance I was excited about from the moment it was announced was the collaboration for "Swagger like us". Anybody who saw that can admit it was pretty crazy. M.I.A. gets nothing but props for getting on stage on the due date of her baby. The whole time I was scared she was going to go into labor but she killed the performance and held her own with the boys on stage. One other thing I have to say about that performance is that I just wish Jay-Z would explain why he didn't get a haircut or even bother to comb his hair. Kanye has been a style icon since he stepped out on the scene so when he came out on stage with the dry Jhericurlesque, Michael Jackson haircut I was suprised, but not shocked. When 808's and Heartbreak was released and he admitted to the world he was heartbroken I noticed his disregard for a pair of clippers and I just knew he was up to something. It was only a matter of time before he revealed the new look he was trying to achieve...but seriously now, why is Jay-Z being a copycat? That's def not cool in my book. Brooklyn's my birthplace and I love Jay just like the rest of BK, but dude...shouldn't you and Beyonce' be busy planning a family or something? I forgive you for wanting to come out of retirement and keep making music, but your days of trendsetting should be coming to an end.

P.S. Whitney looked beautiful; a little crazy, but still stunning....and did anyone peep how Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers messed up when it was his turn to sing his part in "Superstition" after Stevie. Smh.
